Garage Cleanout Boise — Everything Into the Light, the Go Pile Onto the Truck

Treasure Valley Junk Removal clears Boise garages in one visit: the crew pulls everything out onto the driveway, you make keep-or-go calls at a glance, and the go pile leaves on the truck the same day.

Why the garage is the last room to get cleared

Nobody sleeps in it, so nothing forces the decision. A Boise garage fills in layers — move-in boxes on the bottom, outgrown bikes and remodel leftovers on top, camping gear parked in front of all of it — until the car lives outside. It stays that way because sorting it alone means touching every item twice, and hauling it alone means a truck, a Saturday and a ticket at the transfer station scale house. Our job is to collapse all of that into one visit.

The keep-or-go line on the driveway

The crew carries everything out into daylight and lays it along the driveway, because a pile you can see is a pile you can decide about. You walk the line once and call each thing keep or go — most people move faster than they expect once the stuff is out of the shadows. The keep pile goes back inside along the wall you point to. The go pile gets split on the spot: furniture and gear with life left in it toward the donation stack, metal and electronics toward recycling, and only what is genuinely finished onto the disposal side of the truck. Then the floor gets swept and the door comes down on a garage that is a garage again.

What a garage cleanout in Boise costs

By the load, off the load-size rows of Boise junk removal prices. A corner of the garage is quarter-truck territory, $180–$250. A typical single-garage cleanout runs half to a full truck, $300–$600, and a serious two-bay clear-out with a shed thrown in lands in the three-quarter row at $400–$500 or fills the truck. Metal and donatable furniture are cheap to offload and pull a garage toward the low end of its row; flattened cardboard is recycling, not junk, so leave it for the bin. The number gets confirmed on the driveway before the first box moves, and it doesn't change after.

What comes out of a Boise garage — and what stays behind

Out: furniture that never made it back inside, dead appliances, the second fridge, bikes, shelving, holiday bins, lumber offcuts, old doors and windows, remodel tile, the exercise equipment, and the loose mixed pile every garage grows. What stays behind is the short list every honest hauler carries: open paint, stains and solvents cannot ride on the truck — Ada County's household hazardous waste program takes those free — and anything from an older remodel that might be asbestos needs licensed abatement, which the crew will say on sight rather than load it.

How long it takes, and what to do before we arrive

One visit. A single garage is usually a few hours — the sort is the slow part, and it goes as fast as you make decisions — and the truck leaves with the go pile the same day. Before the crew shows up: pull the car out, decide on the obvious keepers, and text a couple of photos to (208) 591-8785 so the range is tight and the right truck comes. Nothing needs bagging or carrying to the curb; carrying is what you are paying us for. Donation receipts come to you afterward, and the whole-house version — moves, estates, rentals between tenants — is on the cleanouts page.

Garage cleanout questions, answered

Do I have to sort my garage before the cleanout?
No. Sorting on the driveway is the service: the crew carries everything out, you call keep or go as you walk the line, and the go pile is split into donate, recycle and dispose right there.
Can you take the paint cans and chemicals from the garage?
No. Open paint, stains and solvents cannot ride on the truck; Ada County's household hazardous waste program takes them. Everything else in a typical Boise garage — furniture, appliances, metal, lumber, the mixed pile — goes.
Do you clean out sheds and detached shops too, or only attached garages?
Both. Sheds, detached shops and carports get the same driveway sort and the same truckload pricing. A shed that should come down along with its contents is quoted from photos, usually $250–$700 for the teardown and haul.
